Impairment Tests And Value In Use Calculations

We will work closely with you to get a comprehensive understanding of the asset, and carry out a valuation using an approach that is catered to the industry that the target operates in and is well support by an audit trail. We will also be available to support you with any questions from your auditor with regards to our output.

 

Our independent goodwill impairment testing services are catered to meet the requirements of your auditors, and are carried out in accordance with the requirements of IAS 36 and IFRS 13, and the CBV Institute Practice Standards.

Purchase Price Allocations

Financial reporting requirements under IFRS 3 require a business that has acquired another entity to allocate value paid to target’s constituent assets and liabilities, and to determine gain or loss on acquisition.

 

Following the acquisition of the targeted company, we are to provide support in the purchase price allocation (PPA), goodwill impairment tests and accounting issues (e.g. day one  post-acquisition accounting) that need to be anticipated. We will work closely with the Target to review financials and identify intangible assets, carry out valuations of the intangible assets using appropriate approaches and ensure that our entire process and rationale is well documented.
